Sustainability Regime

As an enterprise relying on motor transport to provide many of our services, we are taking any and all steps we can so as to minimize the environmental impact of our operations.

At Niyac Corporation Group we operate all of our vehicles and equipment in a manner so as to meet or exceed all legal requirements pertaining to the emission of CO2, nitrogen oxide (NOX) and particulate matter (PM). Further, we are pushing air pollution prevention to a higher level by introducing next-generation trucks equipped with "Urea catalyst systems" and on-board "DPR Cleaners".

Since driving in a fuel efficient manner also minimizes a vehicle's emission of CO2 and other pollutants, this allows each driver to play a tangible, personal role in preventing global warming. At Niyac, we are educating all our drivers in the latest fuel consumption reduction methods and technology, and so as to ensure the company-wide uptake of these practices, we periodically hold "Fuel Economy Competition" events and issue official certificates to the winners. Moreover, the digital Tachographs on our trucks (which identify actions such as jack-rabbit starts, excessive speeds, sudden stops, etc.) generate data that we analyze to identify opportunities to further educate our drivers concerning ways to minimize environmental impact and increase safety.

Maximizing the loads on our trucks and optimizing their delivery runs are also tangible, effective ways to minimize environmental impact. This is where our Operation Center comes into play. The Niyac Operation Center, which has an overall "view" of the system-wide volume and distribution of incoming service orders, allocates truck capacity to where it is needed and maps out an overall delivery plan that maximizes delivery efficiency.

At Niyac Corporation Group we carefully manage our vehicles so as to extend their service lives and always try to purchase recycled goods such as (reclaimed) tires, toner cartridges and so on. (Under a truly "sustainable" purchasing regime, we must consider whether any particular purchase is even necessary, factor in the product's environmental impact in addition to its cost and quality, and extend these principles to even the smallest of purchases. )
