Niyac Diversity

At Niyac, we recognize that enabling all segments of our workforce to realize and exercise their innate capabilities requires that we create a work environment that embraces and encourages diversity. We take this as one of management's key challenges.

Gender Diversity

As a leading provider of logistics services we operate a fleet comprised mostly of large scale trucks and the trend in the industry to date has been that almost all of the drivers of these types of trucks have been male. However, the nature of the work in distributing bulk commodities like petroleum, chemicals, compressed gases, food stuffs, etc. is such that many aspects of it can be done without the need for a large amount of physical strength. This lead us to conclude that women are capable of performing active roles in this line of work. Accordingly, by making appropriate changes in our workplace and equipment, together with showcasing our females drivers on our homepage and showing the types of work they are doing, we believe we are sending a clear message that female drivers are welcome at Niayc Corporation Group. Furthermore, within the white-collar workspace too we believe that respect for each others values and ideas engenders a collective sense that the office environment can be an attractive place to work and this in turn helps us to advance our recruitment of females.

Achievement Plan: For each of our main work categories we have set specific goals concerning the
percentage of female representation that we intend to achieve.
    Plan Timeframe: April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2026.

    Female percentage for new careers
    Data: January 1, to December 31, 2022.

The Rate at which Employees take Childcare Leave

The Rate at which Male Employees took Childcare Leave is as shown in the table below.
We would like to continue improving the work environment so that it would be easier for employees to take childcare leave.

Physically Challenged Employees

As of December 31, 2020 we had 43 physically challenged persons working at Niyac, which represents 3.3% of our workforce (2.2% if we use the legal definition of a 'disabled worker'). Going forward we will continue to work hard to make our facilities and offices even easier places for the physically challenged to work in.
